Guideline Specification

All stabling projects are designed individually, to meet customer needs, so the size of framing, style of cladding and roof construction may vary to suit each project. The specification detailed below is a guide only and is not an exhaustive list of what can be supplied. Each project is worked on individually by our technical team before manufacture commences.

Wall Frames

• Framing at 600mm centres
• Extra framing to 1.2m
• Sole plate pressure treated, fixed to base using chemical fixing
• All fixings galvanised

Wall Cladding

• Scotts pattern T&G pressure treated shiplap boarding
• Alternative claddings available upon request
• Decoration applied as required

Roof Construction

• Purlin roof construction (to a maximum 30° pitch)
• Roof decking in 15mm exterior grade OSB
• Felt / felt tile finish (Other coverings available)
• Trusses can be supplied to take tiles/slates

Stable Door and Frame

• Scott's 'Newmarket' framed two part door, complete with galvanised fittings and capping
• Door finished with a decorative paint or stain in a choice of colours
• Pressure treated frame is encased in heavy galvanised steel combining anti-chew and door stop pressings

Windows

• Fully adjustable, six blade, louvre window with integral galvanised steel frame and internal galvanised steel grille. (Other designs are also available)

Tack Room Door

• Framed ledged & braced door with five lever mortice lock & galvanised metal protection to back of door

Overhang and Soffit

• T & G boarded soffit with ventilators
• Wider overhangs are available with supporting oak posts

Ventilation

• Ridged ventilators are included every two to three loose boxes
• Fully vented ridges are available

Kicking Boards and Linings

• 18mm thick, V313 high density, moisture resistant kick boards to eaves height are included as standard
• Optional painting to the kicking board is available
• 9mm Stokbord as extra protection against kicking is available at extra cost
• Lining to all other units is available in a variety of materials

Insulation

• Insulation to the side walls and roof area can be incorporated as required

Roof Lining

• A flat, 6mm plywood ceiling is included within the tack room
• Lining to the underside of the timber purlins or roof trusses is available

Gutters & RWP

• UPVC squareline guttering in a choice of colours is included and deeper profile UPVC guttering, for areas of heavy rainfall, is available at an extra cost. Alternatively, traditional style aluminium guttering can be supplied, again at an additional cost.
