Specification for Straightforward Range

The materials used in the Straightforward range are exactly as used in the Scotts bespoke buildings and the product is manufactured to the same high quality. The specification below is a brief outline of the product detail, but a more detailed specification can be supplied on request.

Sizes (external measurements)

Loose boxes -3.6m x 3.6m; Tack rooms - 2.4m x 3.6m;
Hay stores - 3.6m x 4.8m.

Walls

All external cladding is Scotts T&G shiplap boarding, which is vacuum pressure impregnated by Osmose Naturewood.

Roof Construction

25 degree purlin construction roof finished with 15mm OSB boarding and a slate grey felt.
OR
35 degree trussed rafter construction, to housebuilding quality BS 5268, to take clients own clay or slate tiles. The trusses will be scissor style within the loose boxes and fink style trusses elsewhere. The hay stores will also be lined to eaves height with this option for structural stability.

Doors and frames

Scotts Stable door - Framed, two part door, clad externally with 19mm x 125mm T&G ‘V’ jointed pressure impregnated boarding (unpainted) and sheathed inside with 9mm exterior grade plywood. The frame is encased in galvanised steel and all the door fittings are galvanised.
Tack room door - Framed, ledged and braced door clad with T&G ‘V’ jointed boarding (unpainted). Comes complete with five lever mortice lock and galvanised sheet steel to inside of door for extra security.
Double doors (2.4m wide x 2.1m high) to hay store - Framed, ledged and braced double doors and frames (unpainted).

Window with grille

Fully adjustable louvre window with integral hot dipped galvanised steel frame and safety glazed with tough acrylic blades. One window is included to the front elevation of each loose box.

Guttering

UPVC squareline guttering with downpipes in black, is included to the front and rear.

Kicking boards/Linings

Generally, V313 high density, moisture resistant boarding, 18mm thick and fitted to eaves height of the loose boxes.
Tack room is lined to eaves height and has a flat 6mm plywood ceiling.
The hay store is unlined apart from trussed rafter roof option - see above.

Overhang

Overhang is fully boarded and vented and is 1.2m in width.

Delivery and erection

This is included in the price within 100 miles of Thrapston onto a prepared base, assuming direct and easy access for a lorry. For further distances please contact us for a quotation.

Chemical bolts

Chemical bolts are included for anchoring through the two-course brickwork and into the concrete pad.
