Our History

Scotts of Thrapston is proud to have built and sustained a reputation for timber engineering excellence that has lasted over 100 years. From humble beginnings where the company was founded by the original James Scott after the Canadian Gold Rush back at the turn of the century, through to the current fourth generation of the Scott’s family, where it is run today, also by the James Scott, where it sits as the most established and respected timber buildings company in the UK today. Our family values provide the very foundation on which the company is built, and our personal attentive way we treat each and every customer means that the Scott’s wider family continues to get bigger and stronger.
