Scotts has built a new carbon efficient timber-framed classroom for Little Stanion Primary School in Corby.  The project took seven weeks to complete and has a classroom, with capacity for 30 pupils, plus a lobby area and toilet.

Jackie Sandy, school business manager for the school, said:  “Work began at the end of the summer term and was completed ahead of schedule for when the pupils arrived back in September. There was very little disruption to the school throughout the construction programme and we highly commend the builders. Both the teaching staff and children are delighted with the finished building.  It gives us a bright new space that helps us provide the very best education in the community.”

Utilising our in-house architects at Scotts, we gave careful consideration to the specification of the Little Stanion building from every angle.  We took into account every element of the building design including light, ventilation, thermal comfort and acoustics.  Aesthetically, the building blends in with the natural features of the environment.
