DESIGNED FOR REFURBISHMENT PROJECTS
Timber French doors add an elegant look to your property and provide ideal and instant access to the garden, patio or pool.
The Refurbishment Range is the first choice for a replacement doors and window project where the emphasis is strongly on the subtleties of aesthetic appearance. Security, however, remains a priority.
HOW IT WORKS
French and Single Doors are generally found on the rear or side of a property or even a garage. They usually open outwardly but can also open in if required.
Door leaves are hung on the frame jambs with lift off butt hinges for easy handling on site and installation.
With Scotts timber French doors, both door leaves are fitted with a multipoint espagnolette locking system. The door can be passed though in both directions by using the lever handle if not locked – and will simply open and shut on a latch that is operated by pressing down on the lever handle. To lock the doors, the espagnolette is engaged by lifting the lever handle and then using the key to lock it internally or externally. The primary (master) or first opening leaf will be fitted with an additional deadbolt too which is operated by the key when locking the door.
The locking cylinders for each doorset will be supplied with 3 keys as standard from Scotts. Keys can also be suited so that all locking cylinders are operable by the same key. Alternatively, cylinders can be supplied with thumb-turns on the inside so a key will never be needed to lock or unlock a door from the inside.
