A leading timber buildings specialist has released a range of larger summerhouses as more people look to extend their outdoor living space.
In response to the demand, Scotts of Thrapston has revealed three new designs including a 3.6m Burghley summerhouse, a 3m Newhaven summerhouse, and a 3.9m Sun Ray Garden Room.
It’s hoped the new range will reflect one of this year’s biggest gardening trends, where it is predicted that nature and outdoor space can help bring about a sense of wellbeing and improve mental health.
Kathryn Morris, from the company’s summerhouse sales team, said: “Research shows that spending time outdoors and enjoying nature is good for us and is becoming even more popular.
“After discussions with our design team, we wanted to create a range of summerhouses that reflect this changing attitude towards gardening and living a healthier lifestyle.
“We believe these bigger, extended editions will encourage people to spend more time in their gardens. They are ideal if you need your own space for yoga, exercise or a mini gym or simply a delightful place to dine alfresco with family and friends.
“Many of our customers are starting to see our summerhouses as solid investments, potentially raising the sale price of their homes as outdoor covered spaces become ever more important.”
The larger summerhouse models will all be offered with a cedar shingle roof with plain cream fabric roof lining. Many of the other summerhouse optional extras will be available, for these designs, including a paint or stain finish, freestanding seating and upholstery, decorative leaded glass, double glazing, internal lining and insulation.
Scotts of Thrapston is one of the country’s leading suppliers of specialist timber products, including equestrian buildings, roof structures, pavilions, garages, education buildings and bespoke joinery.
