Luxury summerhouse and garden room specialists Scotts of Thrapston return to the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show with an exciting new showcase celebrating timeless craftsmanship, inspiring partnerships, and a whimsical new addition designed for children.
After more than 60 years of exhibiting at Chelsea, Scotts continues to showcase its premium hand-crafted hardwood summerhouses, this year unveiling three stunning full-size models:
- The 3.9m Sun Ray Garden Room – A light and airy space using soft tones and layered textiles to create an inviting place to gather friends for lunch and drinks. Finished in Mist Green and complemented by Karndean Design flooring in Budelli, it blends elegance with practicality for effortless outdoor living.
- An octagonal 2.4m Burghley Summerhouse with a lead-effect roof, chrome fittings and free-standing modular seating, is styled in a country-contemporary palette of black and taupe. Cushions in Linwood’s Helter Skelter Nile fabric introduce a subtle pattern and texture. Finished in Birch, this compact yet luxurious haven is ideal for reading, relaxing, or simply soaking in the view.
- The 3m Newhaven Corner Summerhouse sits on a rotating base, allowing you to adjust its aspect throughout the day effortlessly. Finished inside and out in Regent Green, creating a rich and indulgent atmosphere. This upmarket retreat features tongue-and-groove effect wall lining, a cedar shingle roof, and brass fittings. Styled with deep colours, antique décor and sumptuous fabrics, it offers a sophisticated, self-assured space: the ultimate modern- day man cave or beautifully appointed garden office.
All three buildings have been brought to life by interior specialists Inspired Interiors, who have styled each setting to evoke a distinct mood, from relaxed reading corners to inviting dining scenes.
The transformation has been made even more striking thanks to a new collaboration with Linwood Fabrics – a British brand known for its heritage and richly curated textile collections. Drawing on classic English style with a bold, contemporary twist, Linwood’s designs bring depth, colour and character to each space.
The stand’s landscape design, created by long-standing partner Landscape Concepts, is enhanced this year by paving from Arbour Landscape Solutions. Their Sinai Pearl Beige Limestone paving paired with Sinai square setts solutions, adds depth, texture and structure to the display, perfectly complementing Landscape Concepts’ planting scheme.
A Hideaway for Children
In a charming new development, Scotts will also debut their brand-new children’s garden room: The Hideaway. Inspired by the timeless design of the Burghley Summerhouse, The Hideaway is a miniature playhouse hand-crafted to the same high standards as the rest of Scotts’ range. Whether it’s a secret storytelling nook or a creative space for imaginative play, The Hideaway is a thoughtful investment in quality time outdoors.
James Scott, Managing Director of Scotts of Thrapston, said, “Chelsea Flower Show is a moment in our calendar that we look forward to every year — not just to showcase our craftsmanship, but to tell new stories through evolving designs, collaborations, and customer experiences. We’re especially excited to introduce The Hideaway, a magical retreat for children that reflects the same quality, charm, and durability we’re known for.”
Visitors will be able to explore all summerhouses and garden rooms in person, speak to the team about their requirements, and order directly at the show to take advantage of special show pricing.
The Scotts stand can be found at location 216 at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show (20-24 May 2025). For more information on Scott’s summerhouses and garden rooms, visit www.scottsofthrapston.co.uk
