New, modern centre for young people in Lavenham
The “Lavenham Early Years Centre” was officially opened in October 2017. This new education building includes a bright and spacious purpose-built play space, staff room, office space and a separate ‘quiet room’ to support children with special education needs.
A large outdoor play area has also been created using natural resources to enhance the children’s learning and development.
“We are so excited to be providing the families of Lavenham, and surrounding areas, with a new care and educational, early year’s environment. The new building means we can also open in the afternoon, which is especially good news as from September the amount of funded childcare available to parents has increased from 15 to 30 hours.” said Katherine Eves, pre-school manager.
She added, “A huge thanks to everyone in the local community who has supported us with this project as we look to extend, and build on, the excellent care we already provide.”
